Combined passions for illustration and higher education inspired Weston to start his own medical communications studio, Chromatin Creative. 

Weston earned a Bachelor of Fine Art in Biomedical Art from the Cleveland Institute of Art and a Master of Science in Medical Illustration (MSMI) from Augusta University. His extensive art background includes traditional figure drawing, digital illustration techniques, 2D/3D animation, and communication design. In addition, Weston spent hundreds of hours studying and sketching in hospital operating rooms as well as cadaver dissection labs, all the while enrolled in medical school curricula.

In addition, Weston is the recipient of numerous scholarships and art awards including an Award of Excellence from the Association of Medical Illustrators, of which he is an active Professional Member.
